Allyson Morton PhD

Senior PV Consultant

Dr. Allyson Morton is an experienced clinical and basic science researcher who joined the Fiore Healthcare Advisor team in 2018 as a PV and Clinical Consultant. At FHA, she has worked in several facets of pharmacovigilance, including medical narrative writing, review of clinical endpoint data, and reconciliation of safety and endpoint databases.

Dr. Morton graduated from Harvard University with a Ph.D. in nutritional biochemistry, where her research primarily examined the effect of dietary intervention on the metabolism of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in humans. While at Harvard, she also collaborated with AstraZeneca to study the effect of Epanova (omega-3 carboxylic acids) on lipoprotein subspecies containing apolipoprotein CIII.

Dr. Morton has presented her work at both domestic and international conferences, including the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions, the International Symposium on Atherosclerosis, and the Gordon Research Conference on Lipoprotein Metabolism. Outside of research, Dr. Morton served as Vice President of Student Life at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and upon graduating, she received the prestigious Student Recognition Award from the School.

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Morton graduated with a B.S. in cell and molecular biology from Duke University.
